The H. L. Gaidys collection, accumulated over more than 50 years \u2013 an impressive collection of military weapons and military attributes, archival and written sources \u2013 is a wonderful gift to the National Museum of Lithuania and all of Lithuania. The collection, which consists of almost 8,000 items, contains exhibits and memorials from the times of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania to the present day. The collector has collected many exceptional exhibits related to the destroyed interwar Lithuanian army, as well as Lithuanians who served in the armies of various states. The collection is rich in military uniforms, archival and iconographic materials, and a numismatic collection.
